Many an article has been written about the sports handicapping industry and the unfortunate fact that there are a lot of "services" out there that are nothing but scams. For the most part, if one of those supposed experts tells you that they are hitting 70% to 80% of their selections consistently, they are more than likely lying. The fact is that you can expect a very good handicapper to legitimately hit between 54% to 58% of their selections during the year overall. OnlineSportsHandicapping.com tracks all of its registered sports handicappers and allows you the player to select your favorite Capper with trust, knowing their selections and statistics are monitored and real.
However, that is not to say that on any particular weekend that there aren't any trends and angles out there that will exceed those numbers. The good handicappers know this and seek out these situations that will put their odds of producing winners on their side. So, the short of it is that on any given weekend there are situations that do produce a very high percentage of Winners historically so it is to our favor to take advantage of these. The South Florida Bulls are finally getting respect from the rest of the country as they are ranked in the Top 20 for the first time ever. They moved up to #18 this week after routing North Carolina 37-10 last Saturday. Things get tougher for South Florida as they host #5 West Virginia on Friday. Last year South Florida upset West Virginia in Morgantown 24-19. It was the only loss West Virginia has had at home in two years. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favored West Virginia on the Road.

South Florida started this season with a rout of Elon and then upset Auburn before beating North Carolina last week. They now face a very talented West Virginia team. "We know we're playing a great, great team coming in here. We're excited about the challenge," coach Jim Leavitt said. "We're going to have to play awfully good football to have a chance."
West Virginia is well aware of how good South Florida is. "People talk about revenge, but that's not a great motivator,†West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez said, “They are excited about trying to play better than we did against them last year."

The blue turf will be on display Thursday night on ESPN as Boise State hosts Southern Mississippi. The Broncos are not having their typical year, having lost already this season to Washington. They were also unimpressive against Wyoming. Southern Miss is coming off a nice win against East Carolina. Boise State will get back receiver Vinny Peretta and linebacker David Shields for this game. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favored Boise State at Home.

Southern Miss Quarterback Jeremy Young led a big win against East Carolina with 237 passing yards and two running touchdowns in the Eagles last game. Boise State on the other hand has had trouble on offense in their last two games. The Broncos struggled putting up points against Wyoming and Washington. The good news for Boise is that they are 21-1 straight up and 12-6-1 against the spread at Bronco Stadium since the start of the 2004 season. The Broncos have won 18 straight regular season home games by a touchdown or more. Preseason Heisman Trophy candidate Ian Johnson has been held under 100 rushing yards in two straight games.

The Southern Miss. Golden Eagles will travel to Boise, Idaho thursday night to face a Boise State team that has won 13 straight non-conf games at home. This will be the two schools first meeting. The oddsmakers have the Golden Eagles dogged by 10.5 points and we'll tell you why that might not be enough for the Golden Eagles and their backers.
Both teams come into tonights contest with one loss so this is definitley a "must win game" for both teams. Boise St was slow coming out of the gates as they only had 11 returning starters returning and it showed early on. However since the 2nd half of the Washington game, Boise has looked much better and coming off a bye should have ironed out the miscues that plagued them in the first two games of the season. This will be the Golden Eagles 3rd rd game in a row and on a short week at that. It will be a huge amount to ask from a group of kids. Traveling on a short week to play their 3rd road game in a row in one of the toughest venues in college football. If they cannot get their running going against the Bronco defense that is 14th in the country against the run, they will be forced to pass and that has been a problem for them so far this year as they rank 89th in the passing game nationally.

As we traverse through the Colllege Football season and delve into the statistical quagmire, there is no doubt that we can come up with numerous plays to plunk down our money. The question becomes what really are profitable opportunities versus just meaningless stats. There has also been many "opinions" on how bye weeks affect football teams. However, most of those bye week situations have been focused on the NFL. So that College football doesn't get slighted I decided to see what type of impact bye weeks had and whether or not they presented good opportunities.
After much crunching of the angles and trends I was able to hone in on some great angles that presents us with some good opportunities this weekend. Keep in mind that as game time approaches situations could impact, both positively and negatively, any one of these games. With that being said, here are this weeks profit plays:
Angle: Teams who are playing their fourth game of the season, coming off a week of rest, and listed as a favorite this week.
