Penn State vs Ohio State College Football Picks: Value-Champ Sports is ROCKIN and ROLLIN with their 4* Games of the Week. In fact we are a documented 15-4 on the year with these best bet college football picks. Pick up my Game of the Week WINNER between Penn State and Ohio State and add loads of cash to your college football picks bankroll!
The #3 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions travel to Columbus to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday October 25th in a week 9 college football picks matchup. Penn State is 8-0 on the year and 5-1 against the spread. Ohio State is 7-1 on the year BUT just 2-5 against the spread. This is the PRIMETIME college football pick this week, so lets break it down a bit further. Penn State comes into this game after absolutely dismantling Michigan last week. In fact, they have basically STEAM-ROLLED everyone on their schedule (they have beat their opponents by an average of 33.63 points per game). In other words, they have blown out some pretty good opponents (Oregon State, Illinois, and Wisconsin). Though I would give a slight edge to Ohio State in strength of schedule, I still believe Penn State has embarrassed some pretty decent football programs. Penn State is led by stud QB Darryl Clark, who reminds many fans of former QB Michael Robinson. Clark is a dual threat, who can run or pass efficiently at any time during a ballgame. Penn State is also very talented on the offensive and defensive lines, which is the key in any big game. Can they pull off a HUGE road win this week?

The Ohio State Buckeyes come into this college football picks matchup after absolutely pummeling a good Michigan State team. They also did a good job of containing Heisman candidate RB Javon Ringer, which was impressive to say the least. Like I said, I would give the strength of schedule advantage to the Buckeyes, as they have already had some HUGE PRIMETIME GAMES. They've beaten Michigan State and Purdue quite handily and squeaked out a win vs Wisconsin. They did lay an egg against USC, however that was before QB Terrell Pryor was the starter (and RB Beanie Wells was also OUT). This is a different Buckeye team with Pryor at the helm and a healthy Wells coming out of the backfield. Don't just watch this primetime game, BE ON THE WINNING SIDE. I'm releasing my college football PLAY OF THE WEEK on this game and it comes with a VIP GUARANTEE (which means either it wins or you get a week of premium winners for FREE). College Football Picks - Boise State v. San Jose State Friday Night Lights: It was supposed to be the Boise State offense piling up the headlines this college football picks season, but the defense is stealing the show. Boise State’s 2nd nationally ranked scoring defense has prompted the college football college odds makers to make the Broncos opening 7-point road favorites against another undefeated WAC opponent. Boise State’s defense came up with five interceptions in last Friday night’s 27-7 win over defending WAC champ Hawaii. The Broncos were able to hold their opponent to only one scoring drive for the fifth time in six contests. The top defensive player in the win over Hawaii was cornerback Brandyn Thompson, whose three interceptions set up 10 Boise State points and prevented a Hawaii scoring opportunity. You’re also going to want to keep an eye on linebacker Derrell Acrey this week. Acrey was all over the field against Hawaii, forcing an interception (hit QB’s arm as he threw), forcing a fumble, and recording a sack. While the running game with Ian Johnson has not been as efficient as the Broncos expected it would be coming into the season, QB Kellen Moore has picked up the slack with the passing game. He tossed three touchdown strikes against the Warriors and has thrown 11 touchdowns in the past four college football picks matchups. A stat you don’t hear very often is opponents field goal percentage against a team. Well, Boise State is most definitely a team you do not want to have to settle for a field goal against. Teams are just 1 of 7 on field goal tries against the Broncos this season. While the Broncos offensive line seems to be the culprit in keeping the offensive point production down, the defense is more than picking up the slack. If you think the Broncos defense can lead the team to its seventh straight win, bet Boise State at your favorite sportsbook. The San Jose State Spartans are 5-2 on the season and 3-0 in WAC play thanks to a great effort from the defense and special teams in a 31-14 win over New Mexico State. The Spartans brought back two interceptions to the house to build a 21-0 lead against a good New Mexico State offense. Running back Yonus Davis saw the ball 21 times for 107 yards and a touchdown in the win. While we have been blowing smoke about the Boise State defense, we cannot fail to mention that San Jose State ranks 13th in the country and first in the WAC in total defense at just 272.6 yards per game allowed. Like Boise State, the Spartans offense can still use some work. Last week, the Spartans managed only 201 yards of offense and QB Kyle Reed was just 8 of 18 for 50 yards with three picks. The Spartans are going to have to do a much better job of throwing the football this week and finding ways to get it into the hands of wide receiver David Richmond, who is the team’s best playmaker. If you think the Spartans’ defense is good enough to keep this one within the number, bet San Jose State.
Boise St/SJSU 42-4 ATS Friday Night BEST BET (ESPN 2)! Boise State meets San Jose State under the Friday night lights in a battle of unbeaten teams in WAC play and Jimmy Boyd has already placed a hefty wager on the side. Are the Spartans capable of pulling off the shocker at home or will Boise State blowout yet another WAC opponent? College Football Picks West Virginia vs Auburn Odds: Prior to the season, this big Thursday night college football picks mathcup on ESPN between Auburn and West Virginia was circled on the calendar as a big college football picks matchup which could have BCS implications. Rough starts by each team has cost this matchup to lose some of its luster. Because of Auburn’s offensive struggles, West Virginia is favored by 3.5 points at home . Auburn’s defense has been solid, but it’s been a terrible struggle on offense and that struggle has already shut down the high hopes that this team had coming into the season. Auburn was a preseason top-10 and the favorite to win the SEC West. All of the offensive problems have recently come to a head with coordinator Tony Franklin fired. Auburn needs to take its first strides toward finding an offensive identity this week and that all starts with finding a QB that can run. Coach Tommy Tuberville says Kodi Burns is the QB of the future and he will likely get the first crack at the action Thursday night. Despite the offensive deficiencies, the defense continues to play at a high level. The Tigers are third in the SEC in scoring defense at 13.7 points per game and they ranked first in the league in the all-important third-down conversion defense, holding opponents to 22.7 percent. Imagine how good this unit could be if it didn’t have to spend so much time on the field. If you think the Tigers defense can get them another win, bet Auburn at +3.5. West Virginia was also a preseason top 10 and it was expected to be in national title contention after rolling over the Big East. Things have not gone exactly according to plan, but the Mountaineers still bring a 4-2 mark into this contest.

Like Auburn, it’s been the defense of West Virginia which has carried the load thus far. The good news is that QB Pat White will be back in the starting lineup this week after missing a game with a head injury suffered against Rutgers. White has not had the type of season we have seen the past three years, but he is still one of the biggest threats in the country with the football in his hands. WVU averaged about 40 points per game in 2007 but is only scoring 22.2 this season. The struggles could prompt the Mountaineers to use a little bit more of the I-formation because tailback Noel Devine seems to be more comfortable running out of it. Watching film will tell Auburn to really pack it in and put eight men in the box because the Mountaineers have shown virtually no willingness to throw the football in recent weeks. In their last college football picks matchup against Syracuse, the Mountaineers threw 20 times but gained only 53 yards. They need to take more chances down the field to stretch the defense and at least make them respect the homerun play. If WVU decides to throw the football and does so successfully, it will win this college football picks matchup. Devine should give them an opportunity to do so as his 188-yard performance against Syracuse showed the nation just how good he can be. Auburn knows it has to stop the running attack of Devine and White first and foremost to be competitive. If you think the return of White gets the Mountaineers in the winner’s circle and gets backers the cover, bet West Virginia at -3.5 at your favorite sportsbook. The New Mexico Lobos head to Colorado to take on the Air Force Falcons in a Thursday night Mountain West Conference showdown. College football Odds makers don’t feel New Mexico will bring the same magic which propelled them to a 70-7 slaughter of San Diego State in its last game and have listed Air Force college football opening odds as the 6-point home favorites . New Mexico scored 49 points in the first half in its impressive 70-7 win over San Diego State. San Diego State is now 1-6 on the season and 0-3 in the league. Air Force will be a much bigger fish to fry. Tailback Rodney Ferguson racked up 149 yards and four touchdowns on the Aztecs as New Mexico amassed 419 total rushing yards. Perhaps even more impressive, the defense gave up only 80 total yards in the first half to the Aztecs. The Lobos’ offensive line gets my MVP award in its last game and this unit is going to have to play even better against Air Force. While the line was thought to be an inexperienced unit heading into the season, it has helped New Mexico average 290.8 yards per game on the ground over the last four games. The Lobos will face a tall task in stopping Air Force’s triple option attack, but they were able to rest their players in the second half of their last game and they do have great speed on defense. If you think the Lobos will keep on rolling this week, bet New Mexico at +6.

Air Force freshman signal caller Tim Jefferson played well beyond his years in Saturday’s 29-28 thrilling win over UNLV. Jefferson guided the offense on a pair of fourth quarter scoring drives in just his second career start to secure the win. The wins took the Falcons to 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in MWC play. Jefferson ran for 99 yards on 13 totes and was 6 of 7 through the air for 162 yards and a pair of scores. Air Force does most of its damage on the ground and that is what New Mexico is going to have to try to stop this week. The Falcons were able to rack up 346 rushing yards against the Rebels. While fullback Todd Newell was the big star of the UNLV game, New Mexico is going to have to watch out for explosive freshman Asher Clark. Clark made a key 15-yard run on the Falcons’ game-winning touchdown drive. The Falcons perennially boast one of the best rushing attacks in the nation and have now gained 747 yards on the turf in the last two games, but the Falcons will likely need another stellar performance from freshman QB Tim Jefferson to secure another win. They are also going to have to cut down on costly penalties. Air Force was whistled for eight infractions totaling 67 yards last game. These things are drive killers on offense and extenders on defense and they can be the difference in close contests. A near fatal false start penalty went on center Andrew Pipes last week. The Falcons were ready to go for it on fourth-and-goal from the 1-yard line but had to settle for a field goal after the penalty. Also, the defense has to be better on third down. UNLV converted on 8 of 13 third downs and the Falcons last three opponents have combined to make good on 23 of their last 47 third down situations. With as well as New Mexico can run the football, Air Force has to be better in this area. If you think the Falcons can improve to 4-1 in the MWC and cover the point spread in the process, bet Air Force at -6 at a trusted sportsbook.
