Ninth-ranked Auburn begins the SEC part of their schedule on Saturday as they visit Mississippi State. The Tigers have played well in both of their games so far this season, winning 34-0 over Louisiana Monroe and 27-13 over Southern Mississippi. Quarterback Chris Todd has won the quarterback job and the team seems confident in his performances. "He's done a good job all along," Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin said, "It's not a one-game decision. It's a decision based upon a cumulative amount of work. The result was a nice performance on Saturday." Auburn will look for revenge on Saturday against the Bulldogs. Last year they lost 19-14 to Mississippi State after winning six straight against the Bulldogs in the series. SBG Global reports that early College Football betting has the public taking Auburn on the Road.

Week 3 College Football Predictions Iowa State vs Iowa: The Cyclones have started their year off on the right track 2-0 coming off a big win last week to Kent State, 48-28. Last year the Cyclones did not score a TD and won, that will not happen against the offensive machine that is being lead by Stanzi, however the cyclones can still win, but I would be surprised if they did. Both of these teams are off to a good start and averaging over 40 points per game. Iowa State has covered 9 of last 10 in series, and Cyclones are getting big plays out of QBs . The Oddsmakers at Bodoglife.com currently have Iowa -13.5 favorites to Iowa State heading into this matchup with the total at 48 points.
The Hawkeyes are also off to a 2-0 start to the season but they haven't really played anyone. They beat Maine and last week Florida International 42-0. QB Ricky Stanzi threw three touchdowns passes in his first start, and RB Shonn Greene had a monster day 130 yards rushing. Iowa has something called revenge in mind from last year, I think that will play a factor for an Iowa win as well. Iowa head coach Ferentz moved Stanzi into the starting QB spot against FIU, and he responded with 8 of 10 passing and 3 TD's. Iowa State stunned the Hawkeyes 15-13 as 17-point home dogs. I do think Iowa should win this won, I don't think Stanzi is going to turn the ball over like Jake. College Football Predictions: Iowa has a better running game but ISU has the receivers - Iowa has a better "D" but ISU has forced more turnovers. This game doesn't always turn out the way it should. Iowa want huge revenge in this game today so look for them to get the job done. Hawkeyes are 36-16 ATS in their last 52 home games. Hawkeyes are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Tonight we get a terrific Friday Night match-up for making College Football Picks on with Kansas vs South Florida showcases the Big 12 clashing with visits the Big East. The Bulls are returning 16 starters this season including 10 on offense and 6 on defense. They are led once again this year on offense by quarterback Matt Grothe who in each of his last two seasons has been the leading rusher and passer on this ball club. He should be helped this season by what should be a very strong and maybe the best offensive line in school history as they start 3 seniors all big and over 300 pounds. On the defensive side of the ball they are led by the stud junior end George Selvie who led the nation last year in tackles for a loss at 31.5 which was one shy of the NCAA record and was 2nd in the nation in sacks at 14.5. We should hear his name along with the rest of the Bulls front a lot in this game and that is because the Jayhawks lost their anchors on the offensive line with Collins and Rodriguez. In their place will be a JUCO transfer and a freshman and the freshman will have square off against Selvie certainly a daunting task. There is no question Kansas was a terrific surprise last season both straight up and against the spread but when we take a look at their schedule one has to question the actual ability of this team. They played by far the easies Big 12 schedule and lost their toughest game against Missouri. They were able to beat up cup cakes out of conference and in conference teams like Kansas State, Colorado and Texas A&M who were middle of the pack ball clubs gave them all they could handle on the road. To me this game will be won initially on the lines where USF has the advantage and secondly it will be won on the sidelines by the coaches and that clearly goes to Jim Leavitt and his staff in my opinion. The home crowd should be electric for the Bulls and I expect them to get the job done over the visiting Jayhawks.
