Oakland Raiders Javon Walker Found Unconscious by Las Vegas Police (06-17-08)

ESPN Sports is reporting that Oakland's wide receiver Javon Walker was found in Las Vegas Monday after apparently being the victim of a robbery.  According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Walker was seen Saturday night at the Wynn hotel spraying the crowd with some of the 15 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne he ordered.  He was taken to a Las Vegas Hospital early Monday after being found on the streets of Las Vegas.  People just are blinded by the aura of athletes and actually forget that they are real people with problems living in the real world.  Will Javon Walkers injuries affect the early NFL betting odds? The oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com have all the Odds to win 2009 Superbowl and 2008 NFL Odds to win AFC West

An Oakland Raiders spokesman said the team was "in the process of gathering information" and had no further comment.  He just signed a $55 million deal with Raiders after being released from Denver.  When are these guys going to figure out when you are making millions of dollars you've got to start conducting yourself like a businessman.  Don't go out all the time, or get yourself a bodyguard.  Walker was injured most of the year in 2007 and only started in 8 games and had 26 catches.

These days, if you party at your crib you are not immune to getting exposed.  NFL Football players in general who are making all this money need to conduct themselves in a professional NFL manner.  Oakland signed this guy and got screwed with this multi-year deal, and they couldn't make the Randy Moss project work out.  Oakland is definitely screwed on this one.  Oakland should have signed a less risky and more reliable athlete like Pacman Jones.  I'm sure everyone remembers Matt Leinart and his long drink hose with college aged women.  Everyone knows you’re a millionaire and you want to walk the streets?  And for all the critics that say he should be able to enjoy being a regular citizen....no he shouldn't.  He is a target.  He has enough money to make a mini casino, bar, club, resort, and entertainment center in his house...think about that.  You don't hear about Oprah getting robbed or Bill Gates.  They need to conduct themselves like professionals otherwise things like this happen.
