The most interesting match of the first round will be played between young, talented and fast-progressing Agnes Szavay and skilled Eleni Daniilidou, who retired her last match against Mauresmo last week. Szavay is the 1,3 favorite here. Other womens tournie will pass in Chilean Vina del Mar. On the clay-courts surface here the main favorites are two first-seeded Flavia Penneta and Gisela Dulko.
