College Basketball Betting Picks: Oklahoma State at Oklahoma
Freshman Blake Griffin returned from a knee injury two weeks before expected and led Oklahoma to a win over Baylor on Saturday. He will now try and lead the Sooners to a win over rival Oklahoma State on Monday night. Griffin had 17 points and 15 rebounds in just 22 minutes on Saturday as Oklahoma defeated Baylor 77-71. SBG Global reports that early NCAA Basketball betting has the public taking Oklahoma at Home.

College Basketball Betting Preview
Oklahoma State (10-9) at Oklahoma (14-5)
Monday, 9:00 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: Oklahoma - 8.5 , Total 133.5

The Cowboys were hoping that Griffin would not play tonight because they desperately need a win. Oklahoma State can’t seem to win a game in the conference of late, having lost four straight and that may not change tonight. With Griffin and Longar Longar in the middle for the Sooners, it is unlikely the Cowboys will pull out a victory but this is the Bedlam rivalry and anything is possible.

SBG Global Current Line: Oklahoma - 8.5 , Total 133.5 (-115)

Here are the NCAA Basketball betting stats for Monday’s game. The Cowboys are 7-16-1 ATS in their last 24 vs. the Big 12. The Cowboys are 9-21-1 ATS in their last 31 games overall. The Cowboys are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. The Cowboys are 3-14 ATS in their last 17 games as an underdog. The Cowboys are 2-12 ATS in their last 14 games as a road underdog. The Cowboys are 2-14 ATS in their last 16 road games.

PAC-10 College Basketball Top Betting Trends and Recommendations..... (01-26-2008)
The College Basketball season with action just about everyday of the week presents us with a large amount of betting opportunities for our college basketball picks. Because of the large amount of games there are a number of games throughout the season where lines are missed by the books leaving us some great games at which to profit making college basketball picks. But, even with these "mistakes" in the lines, it still boils down to studying the trends and angles for success over the long term. So, in this article I decided to take a look at the PAC-10 to see if there are any angles we can exploit to profits. Below is what I found:

Home Teams
For the most part the betting public loves to jump on the home teams in college basketball. However, doing that in the PAC-10 will be the quickest way to the poor house. Last season the Home Teams were 42-45 ATS and this sesason hasn't been much better as they have turned in a 12-19 ATS mark. But, if you just have to bet the home team you can take solace in the fact that the home team is 5-2 ATS this season when playing an opponent off a double digit SU loss.

Favorites
Just like the home teams the general public just loves to take the favorite. Since the general public tends to lose most of the time this might not be the best way to profit. In looking at the PAC-10 favorites were 43-53 ATS last sesaon but have turned it around this season going 18-12 ATS. If you really want to profit with the favorite take them on the road as they are a perfect 6-0 ATS this year in the PAC-10.

Revenge
When teams enter the part of the season where conference play is the norm conventional wisdom is that teams looking for revenge will be the way to profits. This season putting that thought into your handicapping process would again be another way to the poor house as teams looking for revenge are a horrible 9-14 ATS in the PAC-10 this season.

With all of these horrible numbers are there really some good opportunities to grab the profits this week in the PAC-10? In looking at the matchups and past trends and angles I have uncovered some opportunities. Recommendations: Washington is 12-4 ATS w/ revenge versus Arizona coming off back to back SU wins; California is 1-6 ATS versus Stanford

College Basketball Picks: Breaking Down the Big East Wednesday lineup (01-23-2008)
Wednesday night provides the gambler with a full slate of college hoops action and if you need help in finding good College basketball picks betting value then online handicapper Reno Gold is here to help you. There are several good games to feast on but one that sticks out of the crowd is Louisville at South Florida in the Sun Dome in St. Petersburg, Fla.

According to oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com, Louisville is a 7 ½ -point favorite in this game to a struggling Bulls team. The Bulls came out of the gate pretty well going 10-4 to start the season but have faded going 1-5 since starting BIG EAST play. The Bulls have now lost five straight both SU and ATS. The five losses were all by double-digits. I think taking the points and Louisville has some value. The Cardinals were very successful versus the Bulls last year beating them by 20 or more at home and on the road. Don’t be surprised if that trend continues.

College Basketball Picks expert Reno Gold provides winning picks in single guaranteed selections and subscription packages.

In other BIG EAST action, No.13 Pitt (15-3) travels to the Big Apple to take on St Johns (7-9). The Panthers are a road favorite giving 5 ½ points. Pitt has won five of its last six games SU and has gone 4-1 ATS over the previous five games. This is another game where I like the visiting favorite. Pitt will be steaming mad after losing 69-72 SU and ATS at Cincinnati on Saturday.

No 18 Villanova (13-3) travels to Rutgers as an 8 ½ point road favorite. The Wildcats have not been a good team to bet on this year in spite of their solid SU record. Villanova is 5-8 ATS on the year.

Connecticut is favored by 2 ½-points on the road at Cincinnati. The Bearcats have covered ATS its last five home games and against the likes of Pitt, Villanova and Syracuse. The home dog seems to be the best value in this game.

NCAAB Mountain West ATS Trends and Picks.... (01-22-2008)
Now that the football season is down to it's final two and there is a couple of weeks until the final game of the season I decided that it was time that we took a look at College Hoops and what opportunities are out there before the Super Bowl. College Basketball is a sport that historically feeds off of high emotions leaving teams who on paper were a lock to win susceptable to losing on any given day. Just look at this past week when Maryland upset the #1 team in the land . This week when turning my attention to the hardwood I focused on the Mountain West Conference to see if there were any trends that we could exploit both this week and in the future. Below is what I found out:

Home Teams
There appears to be some value in taking home teams in this conference as last year they went a profitable 43-31 ATS while this year they have started out 7-5. The best role this season has been when the home team is playing an opponent who is off a double digit SU win. That has cashed in going 3-1 ATS this season.

Home Favorites
Continuing with the thought of taking the home team in his conference I narrowed it down to a home team listed as a favorite. Although last season posted a profitable 32-23 ATS mark this season has only going 4-4 ATS. You need to especially stay away from the home favorite if they are playing an opponent who is off back to back SU losses as they are 0-2 ATS this season.

Home Dogs
If you must take the home team in his conference it would be wise to focus on the underdog. The Home Underdog was 11-8 ATS last season but a profitable 3-1 ATS thus far this season.

In looking at all of the angles in this conference the recommendation for this week will be Colorado State who is 5-1 ATS off a double digit ATS loss versus Air Force.

Don't forget to join Michael Alexander at Alexandersports for all Hoops action! Michael has GUARANTEED selections and has been profitable all season long in both the NCAAB and NBA.
