PAC-10 College Basketball Betting Picks, Trends and Predictions (02-23-2008)
The College Basketball Picks season is winding down with the start of today's Braket Buster matchups and Conference Championships and March Madness just around the corner. It has been an interesting season where, up until at least tonight, only one ranked team remains unbeaten. Certainly you could argue the point that Memphis remains unbeaten because of a weak C-USA schedule, but none the less, they still haven't lost. One of the best Conferences in College Basketball as listed by the "experts" has been the Pac-10. It's tough to argue that point looking at the level of competition. So, it is there where I decided to focus my attention this week to see what angles and/or trends we might be able to exploit in today's action. Below is what I found.

Home Teams

Unlike most Conferences the home team in the Pac-10 is not the side that you want to bet on considering that they are only 23-40 ATS this season after a money losing 42-45 ATS performance last season. It gets even worse if they are playing an opponent off back to back SU and ATS losses as they are only 1-6 ATS this season. If these home teams just happen to be a underdog now you have an opportunity to grab the cash as they are a woeful 3-13 ATS.

Looking for Revenge

Many a handicappers heavily weighs the fact that looking for revenge in Conference play is a can't miss winner. Not so in the Pac-10 where teams looking for revenge this season are only 22-29 ATS overall. Strangely enough if these same teams are looking for revenge on the road they have produced a 12-9 ATS mark.

So where does that leave us for today? Let's take a look at recommendations for today.

Recommendation: UCLA is 9-1 ATS versus Oregon; Washington is 5-1 ATS versus Arizona State.
