College Football Picks Louisville vs Memphis Betting Preview: Two teams looking to move above the .500 mark will meet Friday as Memphis hosts Louisville in a nationally televised game on ESPN. The Cardinals enter the game at 2-2 overall and 0-1 in the Big East after losing to Connecticut almost two weeks ago by a score of 26-21. Memphis has won three straight games after losing their first three of the season. Last week they defeated UAB 33-30. SBG Global reports that early College Football Picks and betting has the public taking Louisville on the Road.
College Football Picks and Betting Preview Louisville (2-2) at Memphis (3-3) Friday, 8:00 pm Eastern – ESPN SBG Global Opening Line: Louisville - 6.5 , Total 57
Friday’s game for Memphis is a real test. "No question. If you look at Louisville’s stats on defense, they are only giving up 70 yards a game rushing. I feel like this will probably be the best team we have played all season.” Memphis head coach Tommy West said, “They should be 3-1, but they threw a pick against Connecticut at the end of the game to lose. They are extremely good up front on both sides of the ball.” The Tigers have been very up and down this year and that probably won’t cut it against Louisville. “We have our work cut out for us. I told our guys yesterday that we are going to have to take a step up in this game.” West said, “We aren't going to be able to miss tackles like we have done previously and we can't take a quarter-and-a-half to get going offensively. We are going to have to be ready to go from the beginning.”
Friday’s game will be the 41st meeting between Louisville and Memphis all-time with the Cardinals holding a 21-19 series advantage. The last time the teams met was in 2004 as Louisville won 56-49. The Cardinals are 10-11 all-time at Memphis. Here are more College Football betting stats for Friday’s game. The Cardinals are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Conference USA. The Cardinals are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games on turf. The Cardinals are 22-9 ATS in their last 31 non-conference games. The Cardinals are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games in October. The Cardinals are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Friday games. The Cardinals are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings between the two teams.
The Tigers are 2-5-3 ATS in their last 10 games in October. The Tigers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. The home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between the two teams. The underdog is 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings between the two teams. SBG Global Current Line: Louisville - 6.5 , Total 57
The Under is 5-1 in the Cardinals last 6 games in October. The Over is 4-1 in the Cardinals last 5 vs. Conference USA. The Over is 5-2 in the Tigers last 7 games overall.

UAB at Houston College Football Picks and Odds Preview: The UAB Blazers take on the Houston Cougars in a college football picks Conference USA showdown Thursday night. Houston is the heavy 18-point favorite against the 1-5 Blazers who will be looking to rebound from a last second loss to Memphis last week. The college football odds makers at BetUS.com have UAB as the -18 point college football picks favorite with the total set to 66.5. UAB QB Joe Webb is no doubt one of the conferences most exciting talents. Webb rushed for 93 yards and three scores and passed for 235 more yards and another score last Thursday against Memphis, but he also coughed up two fumbles that ultimately cost the Blazers a three-point defeat. The defeat also deserves some of the heat for the loss as Memphis QB Arkelon Hall picked them apart with with 244 yards and four touchdowns. The offense has shown that it can score the football against teams of a similar caliber, putting 34 points on the board against FAU, 45 against Alabama State, and 30 last week against Memphis, but the defense has been torched for 33 or more points in 5 of 6 games this college football picks season. This side of the football is going to have to play much better this week against an explosive Houston team to have a chance. While Webb made some costly mistakes, he also kept the Blazers in the game last week and he is going to have to perform at a high level against Houston for the Blazers to be successful in this college football picks matchup. He has already broken the school record of 465 rushing yards by a QB this season. His dual-threat ability has the potential to give the Cougars plenty of headaches. Running back Rashad Slaughter rushed for a college football season high 92 yards against Memphis and can has shown great hands out of the backfield. He also returns kicks. The Blazers need to find a way to get his hands on the ball a little more this week as the Houston defense will be keying on Webb. UAB has been pretty efficient at scoring the football and were a perfect 5 of 5 on scoring opportunities inside the red zone a week ago. This trend must continue for the Blazers to have any kind of a chance. If you think the Blazers can keep this one close in a shootout, bet UAB at +18 at BetUS.

Houston got right out of the gate with a 55-3 blowout win over Southern and then played with a high-powered Oklahoma State team longer than anyone expected, and actually led at the half. A pair of heartbreaking losses by three points each to Air Force and Colorado State set the Cougars up for a major bounce back game against the No. 23 ranked East Carolina Pirates. Houston dominated East Carolina with a 41-24 victory and outgained the Pirates by 346 yards. It was Houston’s first win over a ranked team since 1996 and its first road win over a ranked opponent since 1984. QB Case Keenum was the star, passing for 399 yards and three touchdowns while running back Bryce Beall provided just enough balance with 132 yards rushing and two touchdowns of his own. Houston’s offense has been among the most explosive in Conference USA, but its defense has been inconsistent, and that is why we see this football team at 2-3, instead of 4-1. Houston leads the league with 400 passing yards per game and is second in total offensive with 545.2 yards per contest. Here’s the other end of the spectrum. The Cougars rank last in Conference USA in rushing defense, yielding 213.2 yards per game and are tied for last in sacks with just seven through five games. Houston did beat UAB 49-10 last season on the road, but there’s no doubt that the Blazers are an improved team on the offensive side of the ball. If you think the Cougars have another blowout in them this season, bet Houston at -18 at BetUS. Week 7 Louisville at Memphis College Football Predictions: Louisville (2-2) heads to Memphis (3-3) to take on the Tigers under the Friday night lights on ESPN in a non-conference battle between the Big East and Conference USA. Not surprisingly, the BCS conference team, Louisville, is a 7-point favorite for the contest. Louisville (2-2) heads to Memphis (3-3) to take on the Tigers under the Friday night lights on ESPN in a college football non-conference battle between the Big East and Conference USA. Not surprisingly, the BCS conference team, Louisville, is a 7-point favorite for the contest. Memphis beat UAB last week to secure its third straight win to get back to the .500 mark for the season. The Tigers drove 72 yards on nine plays to put place kicker Vinny Zaccario in field goal range and he delivered with a 25-yard kick to seal the victory. The Tigers have clawed their way back by pounding the football. Memphis is averaging 233 yards per game on the ground during its three-game winning streak. Curtis Steele has been the go-to guy, topping 100 yards in all three of those games. The offense has been solid, averaging 29 points per contest, but the defense has really let the Tigers down. Ole Miss scored 41 against them, Rice went for 42, and UAB went for 30 last week. Poor tackling is allowing opponents to get too many yards after contact. They allowed 455 yards to UAB last week. So it appears that Memphis is going to have to win with its offense. Keep an eye on QB Arkelon Hall for this college football prediction who just had a standout game, throwing for 209 yards and four touchdowns. If the running game continues to hold strong, Hall is going to get a lot of opportunities to make plays. And Hall has the benefit of throwing to the 6-8 Carlos Singleton, who had 123 yards and five grabs last week. If you think the Tigers can pull off the upset, bet Memphis at +7 at Bookmaker. The Cardinals enter this matchup having had an extra week to regroup following a heartbreaking 26-21 loss to Connecticut on September 26. The extra time should especially benefit QB Hunter Cantwell who was noticeably limping in Louisville’s last game.

The Cards have already shown glimpses of brilliance on offense this season along with glimpses of disaster. Hopefully the extra time will allow Cantwell and the offense to gain some more cohesiveness. If Cantwell can’t go or his ankle injury worsens in the game, we will see backup Tyler Wolfe. There’s no doubt that Louisville has some talented playmakers in this college football predictions matchup. Wide receiver Doug Beaumont is one of them. He’s settled into the No. 1 receiver roll and now the Cards will get fellow wide out Scott Lang back just in time for Memphis. Hopefully we will see the same running attack that torched K-State back in mid-September. The problem has been taking care of the football. The defense has actually outshined the offense thus far, playing much more consistent football than the offense. The Cards will no doubt need another strong defensive effort this week if the offense decides not to show. Even in losses to Kentucky and UConn, the defense made big plays to give Louisville a chance. Another key for this college football prediction could be the performance of the kicking game if this one ends up close. Just how bad is the Louisville kicking game you ask? The coaching staff showed no confidence in either Tim Dougherty or Chris Philpott by going for it on fourth down three times inside the 30 yard line against Connecticut. Louisville only has two field goals this season. For the sake of the Cards, hopefully one of these two can emerge as a reliable weapon prior to Big East play. If you think the Cardinals can regroup off a bye week and cover the spread in the process, bet Louisville at -7 at Bookmaker.
