Navy vs Ball State College Football Picks: Ball State head coach Brady Hoke has his sights set on a MAC Championship, which the team lacks since he got there.  The Cardinal passing game is too much for a slow Navy secondary, and the State defense can not handle the Midshipmen option attack.  This prediction is out there, knowing that BSU has had trouble stopping the run every year since I can remember.  Nate Davis is consistent and very smart with the football, and with the deep threat of Dante Love and the workhorse Darius Hill (all three will be first day draft picks if Nate decides to leave after this year).  This offense is way to much for Navy's defense and the same can be said for Navy's offense against BSU's defense.  The Oddsmakers at Bodoglife.com currently have Ball State -7 favorites to Navy heading into this matchup with the total at 60.

Always effective Navy senior QB Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada missed last Saturday's season opener against Towson, which gave senior Jarod Bryant 29 minutes of clock time to trigger 602 rushing yards in the frustrating option.  Life at the Naval Academy can be a grind and these young men are always being tested on a daily basis far more than the average college athlete since they have much more on their plates than school and football.  Both Navy QBs played in last season’s meeting in Annapolis, which was tied 31-31 at the end of 60 minutes, with each team topping 500 offensive yards.  That combination led to a 34-31 thriller for Ball State at Annapolis last year.  Navy’s defense is a little older and much healthier now than it was then, and when they take it up the middle on offense.  Navy will have to play very well to put up multiple scores which I hope they convert into TD's getting at least 20 points.  No matter who Navy plays they will always be undersized, out-manned and will never have the talent of the players on the opposing side, but no other team other than army and air force will play with as much heart as they do.

College football picks: I see this as a close game throughout.  Other than Brandon Crawford, I don't think Ball State's front four will be able to contend with the triple option, but Nate Davis will be airing it out all game long.  I would recommend a small play taking Navy plus the points in this one.  I am going to have a top play on the total in this game tonight so check out my College Football Picks to get this play.
