College Football Picks Southern Mississippi vs Auburn: The Auburn Tigers are ranked #10 in the nation but they seem to be a little overrated, as they have shown some signs that they really have trouble at QB.  After lighting up opposing defenses in 2004 and 2005, Auburn’s offense fell off by 8 points per game in both 2006 and 2007.  Last week they played UL Monroe and their defense is terrible and the QB's for the Tigers completed just 13 of 27 passes for just 85 yards, 2.9 yards per pass play is terrible.  They did run the ball for 321 yards, that was 7 yards per rush.  They’ll once again do plenty of that in this game, against a very young and inexperienced defensive line of Southern Miss.  The Oddsmakers at LooseLines.com currently have Auburn -17 favorites to Southern Mississippi heading into this matchup with the total at 46 points.

Southern Miss Eagles just seems to have problems stopping the run they, struggled in that department last season and gave up 6.1 yards per play and last week against UL Lafayette.  Southern Miss teams have been crushed at SEC sites over the last two years, losing by a combined score of 73-26.  The good thing for Miss is that they really have a nice running back in Damien Fletcher, he did well last week as he had 21 carries and ran for 222 yards.  He has ran for over 3000 yards in the past two years.

College Football Picks: On paper this looks like a blow out, and the game should never be close.  This is actually the last tune-up game for the Tigers before a difficult stretch of five SEC games in as many weeks.  Are they looking a head in this matchup?  It's hard to call right now as the line is a good one for this game, so I will look at the total and go under.  Auburn has a good defense and they are going to run the ball all day so that will take some time off the clock.  Don't forget to check out my top plays for College Football Picks for Saturday.  I have some big plays going and they are all Guaranteed!
