College Football Picks Texas A&M vs New Mexico: Both teams start 0-1 coming into this game and the loser of this one is in big trouble at 0-2.  A&M  lost 17-14 last week to Arkansas State.  Coach Mike Sherman is the new coach there (formerly of the Green Bay Packers).  This will be his first road game test with the team.  The Aggies hadn't dropped a home opener since a 17-3 loss to LSU in 1987, and this one likely will go down as one of the most embarrassing losses in school history.  A&M hired Sherman last November, less than a week after Dennis Franchione resigned following the season finale against Texas.  The Oddsmakers at Bodoglife.com currently have Texas A&M -3 favorites to New Mexico with the total at 38 points.

Last week NMU lost their opener in a big way, 26-3 to TCU.  They lost their starting QB Donovan Porterie in the first quarter of the contest.  The Lobos, beaten 37-0 by TCU last year in Fort Worth, avoided another shutout when James Aho kicked a 28-yard field goal with 10:48 left in the third quarter.  So as you can see they usually don't play good against TCU, so we will let last weeks game go for now.  New Mexico, 0-4 against the Horned Frogs since TCU joined the MWC in 2005, hurt itself with a fumble, an interception and a 7-yard-punt in the first half.

College Football Picks: If Rodney Ferguson gets going, he's hard to stop when he gets in that rythm.  A&M is going to play Miami next week, a game they know they can't win so they might play ertra hard in this game to try to pull out a win.  Don't forget to check out my top plays for College Football Picks for Saturday.  I have some big plays going and they are all Guaranteed!
