Last week Alabama had a big game with Clemson which they won easy 34-10. Mr. Saban and crew had 7 months to prepare for last week’s Georgia Dome college football picks battle and it showed. Coming off a blowout victory over a top 10 opponent, the No. 13 Crimson Tide begin their home slate Saturday night with a non-conference game against Tulane. There offense controlled the ball for an insane 41 minutes, had no turnovers, and converted 11-of-17 on third down. "Nobody can be satisfied with a one-game performance," Saban said. "This will be a challenge for our team and it'll be interesting to see how they respond." QB John Parker Wilson, had a big game going 22-for-30 with three touchdowns. After the game he had to say this: "I think the season started on the right note," "We just got something going, we have to continue it. We played well, but we can play better." The Oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com currently have Alabama -31 favorites to Tulane with the total at 46 points.
This is the Tulane opener and they have to go on the road to play the #17 team in the nation. There is no sense to even bother to mention an upset, you just have to hope that the Alabama takes it easy on them and doesn't kill their players too bad so they can beat ULM in a few weeks. The skill players and o-line are now vets of the system and despite losing their RB horse, will fare okay vs. their own class. On defense, the visitors are likely to play more zone defense after struggling at times. Though it would be one heck of an upset and every one would be excited to see it happen, I just don't see it happening. Alabama is just too good. College Football Picks: This is a tough call laying the points here as there are a ton of them. I feel a lot of people will lay the points here after Alabama blew out #9 team last week and they should beat them by more then 30. I think that they will get up by a lot and then Saban will put in the second team and Tulane will look at it as a chance and put a few points on the board. I'm going to take the points here in this spot and try to get the back door cover. Don't forget to check out my top plays College Football Picks.
