I thought I was going to blow-up from excitement when I got a look at the odds put up by Sportsbetting.com on this week’s (Week-4) college football games. With some of these I couldn’t believe my eyes. For example, look at East Carolina +24 ½ at West Virginia . The first thing you need to know is Pirates head coach Skip Holtz (Lou’s kid) has this team playing good competitive football. They are in no way a push over. I don’t think the Pirates will win but they should score enough points against the West Virginia defense to keep the margin within three touchdowns. I love fading these big lines because they win most of the time. Take East Carolina +24 ½. Tulsa +24 vs. Oklahoma, (BetUS.com) The Golden Hurricanes are very good and in no way should you think of this as a cup-cake matchup for the Sooners. I guarantee you the most nervous person in the State of Oklahoma is OU head coach Bob Stoops. Tulsa is running a no-huddle spread offense that will keep the Oklahoma defense on its toes. And they execute it to near perfection. The line opened at 21 and has since moved to 23 and 24 at some offshore locations. I like Tulsa at +24.

I don’t care if it is in the dome. Minnesota lost to Florida Atlantic last week so how do they think they can hang with the Boilermakers. Purdue has a legitimate shot at the Rose Bowl this year. I’m going with Purdue big at -13 ½. Temple +21 @ Bowling Green: If Temple covered +22 against Navy and +30 at UConn, (both better than BG) they will cover +21 at Bowling Green; even if it is homecoming for the Falcons.
