The Miami Hurricanes come into this game off a big win over Va Tech last Thursday night. QB Robert Marve has come into his own, and has matured as a viable playmaker for the Canes. The Canes control their own destiny in the ACC, so a win here would be huge.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets come into this game off a bye week, which means they have had 12 days to prepare for Miami. We will find out tonight of the bye week did them some good. The main question mark for the Jackets is whether or not QB Josh Nesbitt will start. HC Paul Johnson commented about the situation, saying he expects Nesbitt to play despite the bum ankle. The Tech offense is run-orriented, and they are 8th in the country in rushing offense (251 yds per game). The key question is can they run the ball against the tough Miami defense?
