Can the Missouri Tigers do what has not been done since 1973? Number 4 ranked Missouri travels to Lincoln Nebraska to try to pull off a win against the Corn Huskers, this is one college football pick that has not been won since 1973. The oddsmakers at LooseLines currently have the Missouri Tigers as teh -10(-110) College football picks favorite with the total at 68½(-110). The Tigers of Missouri has the most high powered offense in the recent era of college football, maybe ever. Lead by there quarterback Chase Daniels, the Tigers are averaging 53.8 points a game. Allong with scoring, the Tigers are gaing 595 yards a game and are very balanced doing it (404 passing 191 rushing). The Tigers D while being on the field almost all of every game is doing what they can, allowing only 20.8 points a game. The Tigers D has not allowed an opening score in the first or second half the entire season.
The Corn Huskers on the other hand is coming off a bad loss to a weak Va Tech team at home. The D is allowing 7 y/a which will be picked apart by Chase who is averaging 10 y/a. You would think that Missouri would roll in this game right..... well Missouri has not won in Lincoln since 1973. And the losses have not been your typical losses. Two that come to mind are the 5th down that Nebraka got on the goal line that allowed them to score on "5th" down to win the game, and the notorious "kick" play in the back of the endzone that allowed Nebraska to tie the game and win it in overtime. So the question to ask your self in this time of curses in baseball (Cubs), is how is Missouri going to break the curse of winning in Lincoln. We will find out Saturday night!!
