Week 4 College Football Picks Georgia vs Arizona State: The Bulldogs are 3-0 heading into this matchup. They are ranked 3rd in the land coming into this weekend. They just got by South Carolina last week 14-7. The yards were tough to come by and the points even tougher for Georgia - as usual when the Bulldogs play South Carolina. Last week against South Carolina, especially in the second half, the Georgia secondary was exposed for close to 300 yards passing. If South Carolina's anemic offense can gash Georgia's defensive backs like this, it'll be interesting to see what Rudy Carpenter will do against them. Georgia had all off-season to remember how last September's 16-12 loss to South Carolina likely kept them from playing for the SEC and national titles, so they got their revenge. Georgia had a poor offensive output last week but still got the win on the road by seven points. I look for Georgia to rebound with a great game as they build momentum towards the postseason. The Oddsmakers at LooseLines.com currently have Georgia -7 favorites to Arizona State heading into this matchup with the total at 50 points.
The Sun Devils ranked 24th in the land are 2-1 on the season. But last week's game was shocking, they were -25 favorites to UNLV and they lost the game outright, 23-20. Arizona State couldn't believe they lost. I am sure that the Sun Devils were probably thinking about Georgia last week, but I am not sure that is going to help them this week. "It was a nightmare," coach Dennis Erickson said. "It's sickening. It starts with me. I didn't have them ready to play. I'll take the blame. No disrespect to them, but we let them hang around in the game, and look what happened - they beat us," ASU safety Troy Nolan said. Carpenter's pocket protection has been a concern for the Sundevils, but the Bulldogs managed very little pressure against South Carolina's quarterback Chris Smelley, whose offensive line was also a question mark going into the game against Georgia. Week 4 College Football Picks: I don't think Georgia will be caught napping like AZ State was last week vs a bad UNLV team at HOME no less. The question here is will Georgia consistently put up enough points to send AZ State to a second consecutive defeat at home?
