Belmont Payouts: Post Race Reaction from Big Brown jockey Kent Desormeaux (07-08-08)A disappointing day to say the least as Big Brown fails to take the Triple Crown, unless you are one of the few who hit the window for your Belmont payouts. As the dust settles on the Belmont Stakes we all want to know why? OnlineSportsHandicapping.com offers you a post race reaction from Big Brown jockey Kent Desormeaux, Dr. Bramlage and others. In this sports video recap of the Belmont Stakes Desormeaux explains what he felt happened with Big Brown and the status of Big Browns condition. "This horse was in no way shape or form lame" stated Big Brown jockey Kent Desormeaux "but there was something amiss"

We all sat on the edge of our seats to see Triple Crown history and luckily missed a tragedy with Big Brown. "If the quarter crack played any role Big Brown would have shown lameness" Dr. Larry Bramlage stated "what broke his race today was not apparent".

Casino Drive was scratched early in the day on Saturday and did not run in the Belmont Stakes also because of an injured hoof, everyone thought this removed one more obstacle between Big Brown and the Triple Crown. Not the case, Da Tara burst out of the gate and went wire to wire with staggering Belmont payouts. Da'Tara, won the Breeder's Cup race last year, took the lead from the start of the race and held it all the way to the end, sitting on the top results board. Denis of Cork finished second, followed by Anak Nakal.
