It was a month and a half before we started riding him. He lost weight. We thought we might not make it here. We were originally going to come in mid-September, but we delayed his departure a couple of weeks." In other Breeders’ Cup betting news, Colonel John breezed a half-mile in 46.80 seconds on Wednesday at Santa Anita in one of his workouts prior to the Breeders Cup Classic.
