2007 MLB Betting Preview: Atlanta Braves at Philadelphia Phillies (09-26-07)
The Philadelphia Phillies will continue their push to make the National League playoffs as they host the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. The Phillies are battling the Mets for the division lead in the National League East and the Padres for the Wild Card lead. Philadelphia goes with Kyle Lohse on Wednesday while Atlanta counters with 16-game winner Tim Hudson. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favored Braves on the Road.

MLB Betting Preview
Atlanta Braves at Philadelphia Phillies
Wednesday, 7:05 pm Eastern – ESPN

SBG Global Opening Line: Braves -120, Total 10 Under (-115)

Lohse is 8-12 on the season and has an ERA of 4.71. Lohse had a poor outing just about a week ago when he gave up six earned runs in two innings against the Nationals, but he got a no-decision when the Phillies came back to win. Philadelphia is actually 7-3 in his 10 starts for them this season.

Hudson is 16-9 and has a 3.34 ERA this year. Hudson seems to pitch well for most of the game and then something goes wrong. In his last outing against the Brewers he had thrown 17 straight scoreless innings but then gave up three runs and lost the game. He is 0-1 with a 4.39 ERA in four starts against the Phillies this year.
