2007 MLB Preview - Cleveland Indians at Boston Red Sox (May 30)
SBG Global Opening Line: Red Sox -200, Total 10 Over (-120)

Two American League division leaders continue their series in Boston on Wednesday night as the Red Sox host the Cleveland Indians. The Indians go with Paul Byrd while the Red Sox counter with Daisuke Matsuzaka. Early baseball betting at SBG Global has the public liking the Indians with a comeback of +157.

Byrd got his fifth win of the season on Friday against Detroit. He gave up four runs on nine hits with no walks and a strike out over 6 1/3 innings. Byrd has gone 37 1/3 innings without issuing a walk. Matsuzaka is also coming off a victory as he defeated the Texas Rangers on Friday despite giving up five runs over five innings in his first career start in Arlington. Matsuzaka is 3-1 with a 5.00 ERA in his first five starts at Fenway Park. This will be his first career start against Cleveland.

The Red Sox are -175 favorites with a total of 10 Over (-120) at SBG Global.

Boston is a heavy favorite again with Matsuzaka on the mound. Even though his numbers are not great, Dice K gets wins because the Red Sox usually give him a lot of run support. That could be the case again on Wednesday against Byrd and the Indians.
