SBG Global Opening Line: Yankees -115, Total 9.5 Over (-120)
The New York Yankees look to keep their momentum going when they host the first-place Los Angeles Angels on Friday. New York took two out of three from the Red Sox to get back with 9.5 games of Boston. "We won the series. That's what we need to concentrate on really, not worry about winning 15 in a row," said New York's Andy Pettitte. SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the Yankees at home.
Hideki Matsui went 2-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs, while Johnny Damon, Derek Jeter and Doug Mientkiewicz each had three hits for the Yankees. Jeter currently has an 18-game hitting streak heading into Friday's game. He owns the Angels having a .350 average with 14 home runs and 64 RBIs against them.
Jeter and Jorge Posada are both hitting .367 to tie for first in the AL. New York went 4-6 against Los Angeles last season and the teams split a four-game series at Yankee Stadium.
The Yankees are -130 favorites with a total 9.5 Over (-120) at SBG Global
Rookie Tyler Clippard (1-0, 1.50 ERA) will make his Yankee Stadium debut on Friday. Clippard allowed one run and three hits in six innings of the Yankees' 6-2 win over the New York Mets at Shea on Sunday in his debut. "It was unbelievable," Clippard said. "When I first walked out to the mound, it was definitely overwhelming. It was a lot different than in the minor leagues."
The Angels have lost two straight after having a six game winning streak. They have a four game lead over the A's and Mariners in the American League West. They were humiliated 12-0 at Detroit on Thursday in their worst performance of the season.

"I just want to go out there and want everything to be consistent," Weaver said, "That's all I'm worrying about now."
