Ex-Angel Jarrod Washburn a string of five consecutive losing starts has recorded a 7.11 ERA during his losing streak and lasted just 4 1/3 innings in Sunday's start against Tampa Bay. Washburn surrendered three runs on six hits and walked three before being removed.
Washburn has lost nine of his last 10 decisions.
Los Angeles has no trouble handling the Mariners this season, having won 12 of 16 games between the two teams in 2007. Seattle has lost six of its seven matchups in Angel Stadium so far this year.
