Tonight the San Diego Padres will host the St Louis Cardinals.  The Padres have the worst offence in the majors and have the worst record as well.  Adding on to this, their best pitcher and ace, Jake Peavey is now injured.  He is going to miss his start today because of soreness in his right elbow.  San Diego begins a three game series set again the Cardinals tonight.
