Tonight the New York Yankees will try to turn their MLB picks season around when they take on the Baltimore Orioles again.  New York finally got its slugger Alex Rodriguez back, but they lost their Captain Derek Jeter last game.  A-Rod returned to the line up last night after he missed 3 weeks with a strained quad.  He homered in the 6th inning.  Jeter will try to play in tonight’s game after he was hit was a pitch last game and had to leave.  X-Rays were negative and he is day to day. 

Mike Mussina was lit up last night for 7 runs and only lasted for 2 outs before he was pulled from the mound.  The Yankees are struggling badly.  They have a record of 20-25 and have lost 4 straight games and 6 of their last 7.  Also they have only scored two of fewer runs in 6 out of 7 games.  They were just swept by the Mets in their last 2 game series and they are now last place in the AL East.  Today they will send pitch Darrell Rasner to the mound.  He is 2-0 this season with an era of 3.  On his last start he won 5-2 against Detroit and only allowed 2 runs on 6 hits.  Currently Oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com have the Yankees as -146 favorites for tonight’s game.

The Orioles have been hot as of late, winning 8 out of their last 10.  They send pitcher Garrett Olson to the mound.  He is 3-0 with an era of 3.47 and will try to lead them to a sweep of the Yankees.  If they Yankees do not do something soon their season is going to be another disappointment.  They have to start to buckle down and take things seriously tonight as they can’t afford another loss.
