MLB Betting Preview: Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres
The Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres begin an important series in the National League West on Tuesday as both teams are trying to catch the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Rockies go with their ace Jeff Francis on Tuesday while the Padres counter with Greg Maddux. Francis is 13-5 on the season with an ERA of 4.06 while Maddux is 7-9 with an ERA of 4.15 this season.

Matt Holliday is hitting .404 with a homer, seven doubles and nine RBIs in his last 12 games. He is batting .429 with three home runs and eight RBIs against the Padres this season.

Maddux allowed just two runs in his last start but the Padres could not score but one run and he took the 2-1 loss to St. Louis. Maddux is winless in his last eight starts. He has pitched well lately with an ERA of 3.07 ERA in his last five starts but the Padres can’t score and the bullpen has blown leads twice. Maddux is 0-2 with a 4.91 ERA in three starts versus the Rockies this season, and 12-7 with a 4.20 ERA in 24 career starts against them. Shortstop Khalil Greene is batting .348 with three home runs and a double lifetime against Francis.
