MLB Betting Preview: Philadelphia Phillies at St. Louis Cardinals (09-18-2007)
The Philadelphia Phillies will turn to Cole Hamels on Tuesday as they
continue their push to make the playoffs. Hamels is 14-5 on the season and
has an ERA of 3.50. The Cardinals were undecided on their pitcher for
Tuesday although Kip Wells is a possibility.

SBG Global reports that early betting has the public taking the favored
Phillies on the Road.

Tuesday, 8:10 pm Eastern

SBG Global Opening Line: Phillies -155 , Total 9.5 Under (-120)

Hamels is returning to the rotation after missing more than a month with a
strained left elbow. He is expected to be limited to 60-65 pitches in this
start. That will mean the bullpen will be a factor for the Phillies in this
game and a betting factor to consider.

The Cardinals could go with Kip Wells on Tuesday. He has not pitched well
this season but he is 5-1 in his career against Philadelphia with a 2.16 ERA
in seven starts.
