Lackey returned from the DL in his last start and struck out six while allowing seven hits and only one run in seven innings against Toronto. He is 3-4 with a 3.97 ERA in 10 career starts against the White Sox. He has not done as well against them on the road, however, where his ERA is 5.16. Contreras has pitched well in his last three starts allowing just one earned run in each one. In his last start against Cleveland he went six innings and struck out four batters. He has limited teams to just 14 hits in his last three starts. The White Sox have been playing great lately and have been led by Carlos Quentin. He has moved into the #3 spot in the lineup and entering the weekend was tied with Texas' Josh Hamilton for the AL lead with 12 homers and ranks second in the league behind Hamilton with 40 RBIs. The Angels have struggled lately to score runs, as entering Friday’s game they had averaged just 2.9 runs in its past eight games. "We're in a little bit of a lull there," manager Mike Scioscia said. "We'll get better with it but right now, we're struggling to get some things going, trying to get some innings going a little bit earlier. You're always looking for those two-out hits with guys in scoring position that can swing a ball game against somebody tough, and we have not been able to do that." Here are some MLB betting stats for Sunday’s game. Since 2004 the Angels are the best road team in baseball. John Lackey is 12-2 with two shutouts and a 2.46 ERA in his past 14 starts on the road. First baseman Casey Kotchman leads the AL in batting on the road. The White Sox batted .274 with a 2.91 ERA against the Angels in the four games at Anaheim earlier this season. A.J. Pierzynski (.467), Joe Crede (.455) and Jermaine Dye (.412) all had high batting averages in the series at Anaheim.
