The Celtics came from 24 points down to beat LA, 97-91 on Thursday night in the NBA Finals. "I don't want to get overjoyed," Paul Pierce said. "I want to go out there to try and win Game 5 on Father's Day and then I'll be able to breathe. Right now, I'm waiting to exhale." Pierce scored 20 points, Garnett had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Ray Allen had 19 points, Ray Allen played the whole game. That's amazing. On top of that he grabbed 9 boards, had 3 steals, was perfect from the line (5-5), and shot well from the field (6-11). He came to play. The oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com set the NBA Finals betting odds for the LA Lakers -6.5 to Boston for your NBA Finals picks on Game 5. Eddie House was huge for Boston in the win. I have been saying throughout the playoffs to use him more like they did in the regular season. He gave the team energy on the defensive end and largely avoided missed assignments, pulled down 4 boards and didn't turn the ball over a single time. Eddie House hit two big three pointers, and hit the go-ahead shot in the fourth. It was simply too much Eddie House when all was said and done. When the Celtics got it going, I could feel pressure on the Lakers and it felt like a storm that no one can overcome. When a team is going on a run, there is nothing you can do to stop them. Eddie House and Posey made some big money shots there. Those are shots that make you more money. Wow... just wow... The Lakers can't help but feel like the Patriots right now... especially if the Celtics win the series... so much for destiny right? I love how ESPN is always comparing Michael Jordan to Kobe. MJ would never relinquish a 24 point lead, ESPECIALLY in the Finals... so stop the comparisons. Kobe Bryant scored 19 points on 6-of-19 shooting but the league's MVP couldn't rescue the Lakers when they needed him most. You probably need a strong drink too after last night performance. The Lakers blowing a 24 pt lead! There is no one person to blame; the team has to be the blame. No defense, there are some Lakers players who don't play defense and next season, they definitely will be gone. Some of Hollywood's brightest stars glimmered, including the usual: Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington and Dyan Cannon. They were joined by former NFL star Jerry Rice, actress Jennifer Garner with husband Ben Affleck, singer Justin Timberlake and Arizona quarterback Matt Leinart. You want those actors in that building who are not real Laker fans. (The real ones can't afford $50 000 tickets) to stand up and cheer when they are down? I don't think they can even see with dark shades courtside. Too bad Jack Nicholson is too old to cheer. Hope he did not have a heart attack.
