Age is becoming a factor for KG and he knows this could be his last opportunity to win the big one, and he is hungry for a ring. Garnett is not just a dead-eye shooter from 17 feet, an unstoppable turn around jump shooter, or a fantastic leader, and don't forget he won the Defensive Player of the Year this year. Lamar Odom will not be able to guard KG one on one he is going to need help. Odom has had an up-and-down playoffs so far, but has come through in critical moments with clutch makes and big-time stops on the defensive end. KG is quite a tall fella and has the longest arms in the NBA. Lamar Odom is only one inch shorter than Garnett and has the second longest arms in the NBA. Lamar Odom is used to having a large height advantage or a big advantage in the quickness but it isn't going to master in this series. In terms of body structure, these players are identical. In terms of skill and offensive capability, they are completely different. If Odom is going to have his way with KG it is going to be because of the cheap stuff. Odom is known for his flops, these will be the plays that affect the direction of this series. While Garnett certainly has the edge on offense, Lamar is an underrated defender whose long arms should slow KG down at least a little. Lamar really has no pressure on him to score, he will make his buckets here and there but not many. They want to get the ball to KG in the box, if KG is guarding Odom, he should still be able to run the same play over and over. All in all this is a good matchup but Kevin Garnett is just the better player overall.
