While wagering on the Super Bowl and the just completed March Madness hoops tourney draws a lot of action, golf betting has seen a steady increase in wagering popularity.

This year, the attention from golf fans and punters has once again been high, if not the highest, as Tiger is chasing professional golf’s Masters Odds Grand Slam and he fueled the fire when he claimed that taking the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open and PGA Championship was “easily within reach.”

The quest begins with the 2008 Masters this week get the latest Masters Odds at OnlineSportsHandicapping.com .

SportsBetting.com has a variety of different Masters related options on its menu.

In Masters Futures betting, Woods is, of course, the odds-on favorite, listed at +120.

Speaking of golf’s Grand Slam, one prop has is the “Total Majors Won in 2008 by Tiger” option and Eldrick is listed at +200 to take all four majors and at +600 to win none of them—Woods has taken five of his last 12.

There is also a full lineup of matchup bets for the weekend tournament.

In the Tiger vs. the Field bet, Woods is actually the underdog listed at +120 to win Masters as opposed to the favored Field (-150).

Everyone knows about Tiger’s rivalry with Phil “Lefty” Mickelson and again Woods is favored in the first round matchup bet between the two, listed at -200 while Lefty is listed at +260.

In the Woods-Mickelson tournament matchup wager, Tiger is even more of a prohibitive favorite listed at -400 to Lefty’s +300.

If Tiger or the Field’s lowest score in any round is under 67 shots, bettors can cash in on the “Lowest Single Round Score by Any Golfer” Over/Under bet (a full round i.e. 8 Holes/72 Holes Must be Played) with the Total set at 66½; with the Over paying out Even money and Under at -130.

There is also an Over/Under prop on the winning score (four rounds must be completed or 72 holes) with the Total set at 282½ with the Over listed at +105 and the Under at -135.

There are some great bonus offers and specials targeted at the Masters, including the “Tracking Tiger” promotion. This promotion gives all Masters’ bettors free cash if Tiger wins the tournament.
