John D'Agostino was born on November 3, 1982 iand now lives in Seymour, Connecticut. Agostino has not won either a WSOP or a WPT tournament. John did have Three WSOP in the money finishes and four final tables and eight in the money finishes in WPT tournaments. As of 2007 his total winnings come to 1.6 million dollars in live tounament events. All though John has no winners in either the WSOP or the WPT poker events he has finished second, fourth and fifth in the WPT. He finished sixth in the United States Poker Championship. This was a bitter pill as he entered the final table with a huge chip lead which was descimated by a pair of tens getting killed by quad sevens. While he was in college studying to become an accountant he was also playing poker online in some higher stakes games. His college career was not going well, but his poker winnings were substantial. When he turned 21 he started playing at Foxwoods in live high stakes games. When he continued winning he decided to play in a WPT tournament where he finished fifth. After this score he was off and running with three in the moneys in WSOP tournaments and two other final tables in the WPT tournaments. 2007 was not a good year for John and he admits that he played poorly in an interview with Phil Gordon. A bad year can happen to any gambler and John found out the hardway that it could even happen to him. His tournament payouts only amounted to just over $35,000 Considering that he is a relatively young player and does not have years of experience to fall back on, John has done exceptionally well for a new player to the big tournaments. If his play since he turned pro is any indication, the poker world will hear from John again in some future tournament. 2008 WSOP - Which player will last longest in the $50,000 buy in HORSE Event (Event 45) at the 2008 WSOP occurring June 25, 2008?
