Qualifying World Series of Poker Tournament (05-23-08)When a player is looking to get involved in the World Series of Poker , they can choose to enter just one World Series of Poker tournament or many of the online poker tournaments available to them.  The 2007 World Series of Poker had fifty five separate tournaments for the players to consider.  However, there are a number of different styles of poker and styles of events, which helps a number of people to determine what events they would like to be a part of throughout the WSOP series.

There are a number of different games in order to appeal to different types of players, but the main event is the $10,000 buy-in for the No Limit Texas Hold’em game, which results most often in a multi-million dollar prize for the winner of the event.  With the highest prize, this is the crescendo of the poker tournaments that are held throughout the course of a month or more for the World Series of Poker tournament collection .  For interested parties, there is actually a World Series of Poker school, the World Series of Poker Academy, that teaches its students how to prepare for a World Series of Poker tournament, main event or other type of poker event that the individual would like to take part in after they hone their poker skills.

There are a number of different options when it comes to individuals who want to play in a World Series of Poker tournament or a number of tournaments.  Most often, what will limit the individual would be their own finances.  Each World Series of Poker tournament has a buy-in, so for most people they have to pick and choose their events carefully.  Here are some of the many available World Series of Poker tournaments and events: $1500 Seven Card Razz, $5000 H.O.R.S.E, $1500 Mixed Hold’em and the $2000 Omaha Hi/Lo Split.
