Michael Ballack said in no uncertain terms that he will not leave Chelsea and has had no contact with Real Madrid. Rumors have had Real Madrid in contact with Ballack and his teammate Arjen Robben but Ballack has denied any contact.
"I am totally committed to Chelsea," he said, "I came here to win trophies and be successful in English football. I want to assure the Chelsea fans of that. I am very happy in London professionally and for my family. The speculation about me leaving is not true. I have no interest in leaving Chelsea and I have had no contact with Real Madrid whatsoever. I am frustrated by my injury at the moment but I am working hard to be fit and hope to be back very soon to join my teammates."
In other Premiership news, Everton is looking at Barcelona striker Santi Ezquerro. The 30-year-old striker is available on a free transfer from Barcelona.
Also, Juventus have said that defender Giorgio Chiellini, who had been rumored to be leaving will return. Coach Claudio Ranieri's said, "There is no truth in the voices linking Chiellini with a move. Giorgio is part of the club's plans and is staying at Juventus.

Also, on Sunday Manchester United won the FA Community Shield on penalties due to some great goalkeeping by Edwin Van der Sar. He was great in stopping Claudio Pizarro, Frank Lampard and Shaun Wright-Phillips in the shootout. The game had finished 1-1 in normal time.
Ryan Giggs had given United a first half lead but Florent Malouda tied it and the teams really had few chances after that. The shootout was all about Van de Sar. "To save three in a row is a great feeling. I think we deserved the win because we played the better football and created more clear cut chances," he said.
United did play their new star Nani in the last 20 minutes but it was Ronaldo who had the best chance to win it in regulation. He got past Glen Johnson but was blocked near the post and then it was onto the shootout where Van de Sar was the star.
