The U.S. Men’s soccer team will face #1 ranked Brazil on Sunday at Solid Field in Chicago at 4:00 pm Eastern. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN 2 and Univision. U.S. head coach Bob Bradley has named the 19-man roster for his 17th ranked team. The U.S. roster includes 13 players from the squad that captured the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup in Chicago. Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan leads the team. He had four goals in the Gold Cup and has nine goals in 11 matches this year. Clint Dempsey is another star for the United States. The defender had his 50th international appearance in the match against Sweden last week. Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has already posted ten shutouts in 23 career games for the United States. Glasgow Rangers midfielder DaMarcus Beasley has three goals and three assists in 2007. He was the second leading scorer in the Gold Cup for the United States. The Kansas City Wizards send Davy Arnaud and Eddie Johnson. Johnson has 11 goals in 30 games for the U.S. team. Brazil head coach Dunga has two-time FIFA World Player of the Year and Barcelona midfielder Ronaldinho. Last week Ronaldinho had a goal and an assist in Brazil’s 2-0 win against Algeria. He has scored 40 goals for Barcelona during the last two seasons. A.C. Milan midfielder Kaká, who led all scorers in the 2007 UEFA Champions league is another dangerous weapon for Brazil. Real Madrid striker Robinho ended up as the leading scorer in the 2007 Copa America with six goals and is a strong threat for Brazil.
