The Euro 2008 Cup has been very exciting to watch so far this year.  Everything is now set into place as all the Euro 2008 preliminary group matches are complete.  All the quarterfinals have been set in stone and will begin to get underway starting today.  A great Euro 2008 betting matchup to look at however, is going to take place on Friday June 20th, between Croatia and Turkey.

Croatia have been very dominate in this years Euro Cup and finished on top in Group B.  They started off the tournament against the host nation Austria and won this match on an early penalty kick, 1-0.  After this they never looked back.  They went on to beat the top ranked team in the tournament in Germany by a score of 2-1.     To finish the group stage off they won their third straight against Poland 1-0.  Croatia has looked rather impressive so far and it will be interesting to see how they fair against Turkey.

Turkey has been a rather surprise team so far.  They lost their initial match to Portugal by a score of 2-0, putting them in a hole early.  In their next match against Switzerland, they were down 1-0 at halftime.  They managed to regroup and came back to win 2-1, giving them hope of advancing to the next round.  In their final group match, they were in a similar position, trialing 2-0 to the Czech Republic.  They gave it everything they had and came back to win 3-2 and advance to the quarterfinals.  Never count Turkey out as they have proved twice they are never down and out.  Currently Oddsmakers at Sportsbook.com have Turkey as a +333 underdog heading into Friday’s game.

This match is going to mark the fourth time these 2 teams have faced each other.  Croatia holds a slight edge over Turkey as the have 1 win along side 2 draws.  This should be a very entertaining match as both teams come into it very hungry for the win.  It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
