Three-time Memphis winner Tommy Haas, recovering after shoulder injury, but he's still ready not enough to expect serious results at this tournament.
Some top-women players will fight for title in Memphis . First-seeded Venus Williams played only two tournaments this year (Australian Open and Doha). She has easy draw and looking forward to meet fourth-seeded Lindsay Davenport at the quarter-final. Lindsay has took already three titles after his comeback at the tour last year. It would be very interesting to see talented 15-years old(!) Portuguese Michelle Larcher De Brito, who has won already her first-round match in Memphis yesterday.
All clay-court specialists came to Acapulco. Nalbandian, Moya, Monaco, Canas, Chela, Almagro are here at Men Draw, and Women part of tournament has one main favorite Flavia Pennetta, she likes to play in Acapulco, and she's got 19-4 since 2003 here.
